Solution Architect – Trade Finance

How you succeed
Drive end‑to‑end architecture for Trade Finance capabilities (e.g., LCs, guarantees, collections, supply chain finance), integrating front‑to‑back processes, channels, and operations. Ensure scalable, secure, and compliant designs spanning applications, data, and infrastructure—modernizing legacy stacks while enabling digital trade and ecosystem connectivity

What you do

1. Architect target-state Trade solutions and modernize legacy platforms.

  • Produce detailed solution artefacts (domain models, integration diagrams, etc.).

  • Define integration patterns for SWIFT, ISO20022, sanctions/TBML screening.

  • Drive straight-through processing and partner API enablement.

  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations and operational controls, such as controls for sanctions, dual‑use goods, AML/KYC, fraud/TBML, and data privacy

2. Align Solution Design with Enterprise Strategy. Demonstrate strong understanding of architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring solution designs consistently align with enterprise blueprints, guidelines, roadmap and guiding principles.

3. Deliver Comprehensive Solutions Design Artefacts. Create detailed design artefacts (e.g. component diagram, sequence diagram, deployment model etc) for the initiatives with end-to-end solutions spanning across multiple integrated systems and leveraging on data & AI

4. Define and Evolve Architecture Design Patterns. Develop and update architecture design patterns, frameworks, standards, and guiding principles ensure adoption across teams.

5. Define canonical integration patterns for SWIFT MT/MX/ISO 20022, document exchange (eUCP/URDG/URC compliance), sanctions/TBML screening, and trade document OCR/classification.

6. Collaborate and Govern Effectively. Identify and raise architecture deviations and manage tech debt resolutions to Architecture / Platforms forums for timely resolution and alignment.

7. Hands-On Engagement with Delivery Teams. Work closely with development teams throughout the build process, providing technical leadership and ensuring adherence to solutions design & guiding principles.

8. Provide Expert Guidance and Support. Offer regular support on complex coding challenges, issue resolution, and implementation best practices to ensure high-quality delivery.


Who you are

1. Preferably 7+ years in enterprise / solutions architecture and cloud-native technologies such as microservices, Kubernetes, kafka/MQ, redis, databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle).

2. Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and infrastructure setup.

3. Experience with sanctions screening, document digitization, and workflow engines.

4.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels.

5. Proven ability to define new architectures, lead projects independently, and drive adoption of best practices.

6. Strong analytical and decision-making skills; proactive and resourceful.

7. Experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, Payments, Core Banking domains is an advantage.
