Solution Architect – Data & AI

To succeed in this role, you'll need to stay ahead of the curve in terms of technology trends and advancements. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop architecture solutions that meet their requirements. You'll also need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of technology solutions.

What you do

  • Lead end‑to‑end solution architecture for data, analytics, and AI/ML use cases across the bank—covering ingestion, storage, processing, governance, MLOps, and model serving—while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, standards, and roadmaps. Partner with data engineering, platform, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and well‑governed data/AI solutions that meet business outcomes.

  • Align Solution Design with Enterprise Strategy. Demonstrate strong understanding of architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring solution designs consistently align with enterprise blueprints, guidelines, roadmap and guiding principles.

  • Deliver Comprehensive Solutions Design Artefacts. Create detailed design artefacts (e.g. component diagram, sequence diagram, deployment model etc) for the initiatives with end-to-end solutions spanning across multiple integrated systems and leveraging on data & AI

  • Define and evolve data/AI patterns. Develop and update architecture design patterns (e.g., data lakehouse, medallion architecture, event streaming, feature store, model serving, prompt orchestration patterns), and drive adoption across teams.

  • Deep Domain Expertise with Agility. Possess in-depth knowledge of one / multiple functional domains (e.g., Payments, Core Banking, Wealth, Trade, Treasury) and demonstrate ability to quickly acquire new domain expertise.

  • Collaborate and Govern Effectively. Identify and raise architecture deviations and manage tech debt resolutions to Architecture / Platforms forums for timely resolution and alignment.

  • Hands-On Engagement with Delivery Teams. Provide hands‑on guidance across delivery, partnering closely with engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to ensure solutions adhere to design and best practices (data quality, observability, resiliency, cost).

  • Ensure Governance & risk controls in design. Embed data security, privacy, and responsible AI controls (e.g., data masking/tokenization, lineage, model risk controls, bias testing, monitoring), and raise/manage deviations via architecture


Who you are

  • Preferably 7+ years in enterprise / solutions architecture and cloud-native technologies such as microservices, Kubernetes, kafka/MQ, redis, databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle).

  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and infrastructure setup. Experience with sanctions screening, document digitization, and workflow engines.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels.

  • Proven ability to define new architectures, lead projects independently, and drive adoption of best practices.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills; proactive and resourceful.

  • Experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, Payments, Core Banking domains is an advantage.
