The Administrative Supervisor assumes the responsibility for the administrative and technical supervision of all personnel during designated times when hospital management team is not in the hospital. The Administrative Supervisor plans, organizes, directs, and supervises other professional and non-professional staff in the administering of excellent patient care and customer service. Functions as a resource person for supervisory staff members and assists in necessary education of individual supervisory members of nursing staff. The Administrative Supervisor administers, analyzes and reformulates objectives for the hospital on a case-by-case basis. The Administrative Supervisor meets organizational goals, and takes a proactive view, anticipating change and need for action. In coordination with Department Directors, facilitates hospital wide patient care activities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous clinical nursing experience. Previous management experience in nursing preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. BLS through the American Heart Association required. Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire date.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills required. Excellent communication skills. Computer skills.
