About this role

Position Overview

Perform duties necessary for the daily functions of the Stockroom. To ensure that supply items are ready for issue to the requisitioning units. This will include distribution of inventory and non-inventory items to the customers which includes UHSH Departments and all auxiliary clinics.
Provide accurate inventory of all areas in the department. Order, receive, stock shelves, pick orders, transfer stock, count physical inventory and record data using computer system.

$17.05 - $22.17 per hour, depending on experience

Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Responsible for maintaining customer’s location par levels (JIT) by using electronic devices, handhelds/computers.

  • Responsible for obtaining a Stockroom picklist to pick the requested quantity of the inventory item and deliver to the department; checking location of items for stockouts and notifying the inventory clerk to reorder.

  • Responsible for transporting the incoming inventory items from the Receiving Dock to the Stockroom.

  • Responsible for verifying the item number and quantity received against the purchase order.

  • Responsible for restocking the items received and ensuring the item is stored in the proper location.

  • Responsible for handling emergency requests of stock items and the delivery upon request.

  • Responsible for delivering all non-inventory items from the Receiving Dock to the requesting department.

  • Responsible for counting and recording on worksheets when asked to implement a portion of the cycle count program.

  • Responsible for notifying the Inventory Clerk of stock items that are beyond the expiration date.

  • Responsible for maintaining the assigned stock areas (i.e., shelves, floor, empty cartons and pallets).

  • Responsible for utilizing the appropriate documentation for all shipments and proper packaging for items shipped.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic, such as: addition subtraction, division and multiplication. Ability to operate all types of Material Handling equipment.

Preferred:

  • Previous Stockroom experience. Knowledgeable in inventories.

Required Tasks:

  • Deliver item/s to requesting units

  • Revise, count, and replace missing items from supply drawers, carts and other related equipment

  • Enter orders into stock system using computer program

  • Scan devices and drawers into tracking system when delivering and or receiving

  • Assist in maintaining inventory Par Levels

  • Maintain stock clean and inspect for outdates

  • Breakdown delivery of supplies and store accordingly

  • Maintain area within regulatory standard of clean, clutter free, organized and stocked

  • Communicates to management and staff alike for needs, issues, and or recalls.

Physical Needs:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift when working

  • Must be able to count and read English

  • Must have basic MS and computer skills

  • Must be able to move weight up to 30Lbs.
