NXP is building new teams in Catania to create high impact microcontrollers (MCU) as part of NXP’s intelligent AI at the Edge. This team will include a wide range of engineering talent from analog to SOC digital design.

Full product development local will product world class products at a world class pace. 

This team will include all key engineering disciplines in Design, Architecture, Verification, DfT and Physical Design to produce high performance and quality products. 

We are now hiring for Analog designers, experts, junior and senior to join the team. 

 

Role Summary:  

  • Define innovative circuit architectures to meet product requirements
  • Create and ensure robust and high-quality IP from requirements
  • Ownership for the implementation, simulation, layout, and validation of analog designs for microcontrollers (MCUs). These designs could be full IP’s or subsystem IP including data converters (ADC, DAC), clock generators (crystal oscillators, free running oscillators, PLL) or any other miscellaneous analog or mixed signal IP that adds value to NXP MCUs products.
  • Realization of analog circuits including leading design reviews, creating documentation of designs and support of productization as needed (production test, life test, etc).

 

 

Job Responsibility:  

  • Ensure specification are realized via simulation (behavioral, transistor level or combinations) and that they are realized in silicon
  • Develop analog architectures and circuits that meet requirements. Guide and review layout implementation and ensure that post layout circuits will also meet requirements.
  • Guide and review verification of circuits in sub-systems or systems to ensure all requirements are met
  • Documentation of the design, design reviews, and integration requirements of IP
  • Support the productization of IP – characterization, production test, life testing.

Your Profile: 

  • Bachelor's degree in electronic/electrical engineering required, Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of product development experience
  • Experience with one more more of these IP areas:  ADC, DAC, PLL, Oscillators, References, LDO, DC-DC, amplifiers, filters
  • Strong communication and team work skills are required
  • Experience creating and using behavorial models is a plus (AMS, DMS, Matlab, System-C or equivalent)
