What you will experience in this position:

As a Material Handler at nVent Management Company, your role is to maintain the smooth flow of materials in our Pittsburg, KS manufacturing process. You will:

  • Receive, verify, and transport materials used in production

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Ensure equipment is in efficient condition through regular maintenance

  • Meet strict performance standards to adhere to production schedules

  • Guarantee product quality aligns with nVent's world-class standards

  • Engage in rotational assignments to support various production needs

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Communicate effectively to resolve any issues concerning equipment, operations, or materials

You have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Over one year of experience in a manufacturing facility

  • Basic skills in reading and writing

  • Knowledge of material flow processes and safety procedures

  • Ability to operate necessary equipment for material handling

  • Competence in blueprint reading and using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers

  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, and to pull, lift, and push steel coil material

  • A positive attitude and the ability to function in high-stress, high-pressure environments
