This position reports to the Senior Analyst, Portfolio.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop cost estimates, forecasts, funding requests and purchase requisitions.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets and forecasts ensuring alignment with financial and project performance goals.
  • Support required stage deliverables, accruals, cost reconciliations and project closeout activities.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
  • Implement and maintain project control processes and tools for effective monitoring.
  • Support and document change management, contingency tracking and risk identification.
  • Engage with project manager and stakeholders to support clear, accurate reporting.
  • Escalate cost, schedule and risk concerns with project manager and/or Sr. Analyst, Portfolio.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and updates for stakeholders and management.

What You'll Bring:

  • Formal project administration training would be considered an asset.
  • 4-6 years experience in project cost controls preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, written and oral, with a variety of stakeholders - internal and external.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly motivated and organized.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, Oracle, Jira, and Planisware software is considered assets.
  • Highly proficient in Excel.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience contributing to cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent safety commitment.
