Basic Job Functions:
Vulcraft - Indiana has an opening for one or more Detailers. A Detailer is responsible for preparing Field Use Drawings for our customer and a Bill of Materials for manufacturing. These are prepared by using a 3D Modeling software (Tekla) along with a proprietary overlay program (VulTek). Detailers will need to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to Steel Joists and Steel Deck and will apply them to the 3D Model. Coordination of Details and Connections with outside Structural Detailers. Work with Vulcraft Engineers on the application of design loading in the 3D model. Ability to work overtime hours when needed to complete projects.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- AutoCAD or other CAD software experience.
- Tekla or other 3D modeling software experience.
- Bluebeam software experience.

What you'll do
- Detailers are responsible for preparing Field Use Drawings and a Bill of Materials for manufacturing using 3D modeling software. They will coordinate details and connections with outside Structural Detailers and work with Vulcraft Engineers on design loading applications.
