Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Basic Job Functions
The role of the Production Supervisor is to lead and drive positive results in the Operations Department in pursuit of continuously building a World-Class Rebar Fabrication facility. The primary responsibility is to facilitate and expand a safe working environment for our team to succeed.
This will include, but is not limited to:
• Coaching and developing the production leads, operations team, and support team
• Cultivating Nucor culture for teammate development, future leaders, and sustainable results
• Managing systems in safety, quality, and production to take care of NRF customers
• Contributing to strategy of innovation and efficiency to maximize Nucor profitability
• Working collaboratively with peers across the group to continuously drive results
• Managing a department budget
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Self-starting, positive problem solver always looking for work that needs to be done and ways to improve their work. Energetic with initiative and enthusiasm that is motivating to others.
• Production and/or Maintenance background
• Prior fabrication experience
