Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking qualified applicants for Maintenance Shift Mechanic position. The successful candidate will coordinate housekeeping/safety efforts, be part of a team that performs maintenance on, repairs and improves the equipment at Nucor Steel-Hertford County as well as supporting the overall operation of the steel making process. Must be willing to work rotating shifts. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience or relevant technical degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 or more years of heavy industrial millwright experience
- AWS Certified Welder
- 2- or 4-year engineering or technical degree
