Your day at NTT DATA
As a Senior Associate Cross Technology Sales Specialist at NTT DATA, your primary goal will be to pursue and secure qualified leads identified by our Client Management and other teams. As a Sales Specialist, you are also responsible for generating your own pipeline and opportunities within your assigned client base. You will act as a developing subject matter expert, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to present solutions that meet clients' needs. A significant part of your role involves engaged selling, collaborating with pre-sales architects to design the best solution, and building strong relationships with clients at various levels.

Every day, you'll maintain expertise across multiple domains and solution sets, ensuring your knowledge stays relevant to have meaningful conversations with both new and existing clients. You will be aware of competitive landscapes and market pricing, working with technology vendors to fully understand their offerings and how they fit within NTT DATA's solutions.

Engaging with clients to uncover their business goals, you'll articulate customized solutions that address their needs rather than simply pushing products. Your role will also involve conducting functional gap analyses, addressing business issues raised by clients, and developing comprehensive account plans to meet your sales targets.

You'll support the sales process alongside Client Managers, utilizing various sales methodologies and tools to drive opportunities from discovery to deal closure. By frequently checking in with primary contacts and securing buy-in from all stakeholders, you'll implement successful opportunity plans and contribute significantly to broader territory sales strategies.

Building new business channels and territories will be a core focus of your role. You will also foster collaborative, cross-functional relationships within NTT DATA to support shared growth goals, consistently aiming to exceed sales and financial targets through a client-centric approach.

  • A proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales and financial goals.
  • Skill in engaging sales presentations and a team-selling approach.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the competitive landscape with the ability to apply successful sales strategies.
  • Negotiation skills to craft beneficial solutions for clients and partners.
  • Attention to accurate sales forecasting and close plans.
  • Good business acumen and client engagement skills.
  • A strong client-centric approach, with the ability to understand and solve customer problems.
  • The ability to build and maintain meaningful customer relationships.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to urgent deadlines or new missions.
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology/systems, sales, or a related field.
  • Industry/Vendor sales certifications required.
