Your role at a glance
The purpose of this position is to ensure that IT delivers standardized systems and platforms for a stable, secure and efficient infrastructure for the Data Centers and other buildings on a global level.What we are looking for
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Definition of IT standards for the areas of network, racks, cabling and construction requirements.
- Responsibility for the implementation according to the standard
- Performing on site control of construction sites in all relevant phases
- Responsibility for the management of purchasing as well as external suppliers
- Responsibility for adherence to schedules, especially timely ordering, and delivery.
- Reporting of status, projects, issues etc. to IT and Executive Management.
- Technical management of the team Network/Security covering L2 and L3 networking including WiFi and telephony
- Further development of the existing IT architecture
- Acting coordinating interface especially but not limited to the named departments in Purpose above
- Consult the business in the respective IT areas to identify best IT solutions to enhance business capabilities
- Management of group internal and external IT service providers and specialist groups
- Evaluation, coordination, and processing of change requests including demand management in those areas
- Responsibility for resource and delivery planning within the team
- Continuous improvement of existing processes and input in the definition of new processes
- Acting Project Manager within own area for bigger projects
- Strong collaboration with Procurement Team to identify cost efficiency opportunities
- Processing incidents and service requests in the ticket system (2nd level support)
- Participation in on-call duties
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Completed vocational training with a focus on computer science or equivalent work experience
- Multiple years of professional experience in the area of network and DC infrastructure or equivalent
- Excellent German and English language skills verbal and writing
- Very good knowledge and working experiences in network and DC infrastructure
- Ability to quickly tap into and master new areas of responsibility
- Enforcement and persuasiveness
- High commitment and willingness to travel (<60%)
- Integrative and independent work style, self-motivation, and team spirit
- Excellent Communication and presentation skills
- Strategic thinking individual with a structured and target-oriented approach
