Lead structured sessions with business users across NA and Europe to extract, clarify, and document business logic used in compensation processing. Translate embedded business rules—often currently hidden within code—into clear, maintainable requirements for modernization. Identify and resolve inconsistencies across regional processes (e.g., 38 NA workflows vs. 9 EU workflows). Serve as a neutral facilitator to help teams align on definitions, logic, and data requirements. Data Discovery & Analysis Conduct detailed data discovery to understand source systems, data flows, and integration points across multiple domains (customer, revenue, product, sales rep, etc.). Analyze upstream and downstream manual file processes to determine their purpose, dependencies, and potential modernization paths. Partner with architects to support the creation of a master stitched data model and upstream ETL redesign. Validate monthly ETL outputs (9-10 files, delivered 3× monthly), ensuring completeness, consistency, and readiness for transformation. Documentation & Process Mapping Create high‑quality documentation including: Business rules catalogs Source‑to‑target mappings Data dictionaries Process maps (current state vs. future state) Identify gaps, data quality issues, and undocumented logic requiring remediation. 4-7 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role in data‑intensive environments. Strong ability to interpret and document complex business logic and compensation‑related rules. Experience conducting deep data discovery, reverse engineering logic from systems/files, and mapping data transformations. Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with Azure data ecosystems (Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks preferred). Excellent communication skills—able to drive clarity and facilitate consensus across business and technical teams. Experience working with distributed teams and Agile Scrum environments. Minimum Skills Required: SQL, Azure, Requirements Documentation & User Story Writing Work closely with product owners, data architects, analysts, engineers, and business users across global regions. Support alignment across three Scrum teams, ensuring requirements are clear and defensible. Escalate ambiguities and build consensus among stakeholders for high‑stakes compensation calculations. Support for Strategic & Technical Modernization Assist in evaluating opportunities for a rules engine/ODM/Drools to externalize logic. Provide analytical inputs for the long‑term vision of impact analysis (how portfolio changes affect compensation models). Contribute to efforts shifting logic and governance from Varicent into enterprise‑owned platforms.
