<h3 class="vacancy_value_label">The team you'll be working with:</h3> <span class="basicPar value_the_team_you'll_be_working_with"> <p>Manage all personnel security (HMG) vetting activities across the organisation and selected supply chain partners, ensuring rigorous application of BPSS, sponsorship and lifecycle management of SC/DV clearances, including comprehensive aftercare (renewals, transfers, change-of-personal-circumstances, and suspension/withdrawal). You will be the subject-matter expert for HMG personnel security controls and UKSV processes, enabling timely onboarding while safeguarding national security and organisational risk.</p> </span> <div class="vacancy_value_seperator"></div> <h3 class="vacancy_value_label">What you'll be doing:</h3> <span class="basicPar value_what_you'll_be_doing"> <ul> <li>Vetting operations: Oversee end-to-end vetting workflow: eligibility checks, sponsorship, applications, aftercare management (renewals, transfers, CPC notifications, and clearance maintenance). Ensure BPSS is completed consistently for all relevant roles and contractors before NSV initiation; maintain auditable records.</li> <li>Aftercare leadership: Act as primary point of contact for all clearance aftercare obligations monitor changes in personal circumstances, manage renewals and periodic reviews, and liaise with UKSV to maintain clearance validity. Maintain accurate aftercare logs and proactively brief stakeholders on obligations and timelines.</li> <li>Policy & compliance: Apply HMG Personnel Security Controls and UKSV guidance; advise stakeholders on clearance levels (BPSS, CTC, SC, DV) and access implications.</li> <li>IPSA readiness: maintain the personnel security framework needed for IPSA accreditation, including roles/controls, evidence collection, and aftercare for industry-sponsored vetting.</li> <li>Risk management & assurance: Conduct personnel security risk assessments; recommend mitigations, waivers, and additional checks consistent with GovS 007 Security and organisational risk appetite.</li> <li>Stakeholder engagement: Partner with HR, Legal, Information Security, and public sector delivery teams to embed vetting requirements in recruitment and supplier onboarding.</li> <li>Data protection & ethics: Ensure handling of sensitive personal data complies with UKSV privacy and vetting charter expectations; champion fairness, inclusion, and transparency for applicants</li> </ul> </span> <div class="vacancy_value_seperator"></div> <h3 class="vacancy_value_label">What experience you'll bring:</h3> <span class="basicPar value_what_experience_you'll_bring"> <ul> <li>Must have experience a vetting function, demonstrate ability to manage end-to-end vetting operations and team oversight.</li> <li>Extensive hands-on experience in vetting regulated environments.</li> <li>Security Clearance: Holds SC or is SC-clearable</li> <li>Proven, hands-on expertise with BPSS, SC and DV vetting including full aftercare lifecycle (renewals, transfers, CPC, suspensions).</li> <li> Familiarity with HMG Personnel Security Controls and GovS 007 Security standards.</li> <li> Experience with the NSVS portal (sponsor/subject workflows), documentation, and audit trails.</li> <li>Ability to brief senior stakeholders, coach candidates and managers, and write clear guidance and decisions.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in Defense, Justice, or other HMG-regulated environments.</li> <li>IPSA awareness: Working knowledge of IPSA policy, personnel reliability framework, sponsorship responsibilities, and evidence requirements.</li> <li>Exposure to supplier vetting and IPSA accreditation programs within the MOD supply chain.</li> <li>Knowledge of NPSA good practice on employment screening as part of wider personnel security.</li> </ul> </span> <div class="vacancy_value_seperator"></div> <h3 class="vacancy_value_label">Who we are:</h3> <span class="basicPar value_who_we_are"> <p>We’re a business with a global reach that empowers local teams, and we undertake hugely exciting work that is genuinely changing the world.
