We are currently seeking a SAP S4 PP functional consultant to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

SAP S/4HANA PP Functional Lead

Role Overview

The SAP S/4HANA PP (Production Planning) Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing and supporting SAP S/4HANA PP solutions to streamline manufacturing and production processes. The consultant works closely with business users to understand requirements, design effective solutions, and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules such as MM, QM, SD, and PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and support of SAP S/4HANA PP module, covering both discrete and process manufacturing environments.
• Conduct requirement-gathering workshops and translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Configure key PP components such as Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Bill of Materials (BOM), Routing, Work Centers, Production Orders, and Capacity Planning.
• Integrate PP with related modules including MM (Materials Management), QM (Quality Management), and SD (Sales & Distribution).
• Support advanced planning scenarios, such as Demand Management, Long-Term Planning, and Production Execution.
• Collaborate with ABAP and technical teams to develop custom enhancements, reports, and interfaces.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide user training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
• Assist with S/4HANA migration and data conversion activities related to production data.
• Ensure process standardization and adoption of SAP best practices across manufacturing operations.

Required Skills

• Strong functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) module.
• Hands-on configuration experience in key PP submodules — MRP, Work Centers, Routing, BOM, and Shop Floor Control.
• Familiarity with integration between PP and other modules (MM, QM, SD, PM, and FI/CO).
• Understanding of production execution processes, capacity planning, and manufacturing master data.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps related to PP and S/4HANA simplifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in preparing detailed functional specifications and testing documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or IT-related discipline.
• 10+ years of SAP PP experience, with at least 2 full-cycle implementations in SAP S/4HANA.
• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices in discrete/process industries.

Min/Required Qualification:
15+ years of SAP/IT experience
10+ years of SAP PP and manufacturing experience
3+ years of S/4 HANA experience
