About this role
The Commercial Manager Downstream (DS) role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and activities within an organization. The role involves managing financial reporting and compliance and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's overall objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Mandatory objectives (Applied for all employees): Implement and comply with Occupational Health Safety & Environment (OHSE) Policy, Quality & Environmental Management System, BSL Policy, Code of Conduct (How We Work), Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) and Government Regulations.
- Financial Analysis - Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Evaluate business performance, profitability, and cost efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Cashflow Management - Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations, investments, and financing needs. Monitor cash flows, forecasts, and projections to optimize cash utilization, manage risks, and identify opportunities for cash flow improvement.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop and implement internal control policies, procedures, and financial guidelines to safeguard company assets, ensure accuracy of financial data, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits.
Qualification and/or experience required:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance background
- At least 3-4 years of working experience in the related field
- Possess excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred qualifications and experiences:
- Having experience in managerial level for the related function
- Having extensive experiences in FMCG or Manufacturing industries
- Having various Finance and Accounting challenges and exposure from many industries
