As on of our Quality Operations Managers has sought new challenges outside Novonesis, we are now looking for a new colleague.

Join an ambitious department of skilled and dedicated colleagues. Our department is divided into three teams that support our sites in Avedøre, Roskilde, Hørsholm and Lyngby. You will report to the Senior Quality Department Manager and become part of the leadership team, which includes the Quality Manager for Roskilde and a Senior Specialist.

As a Quality Operations Manager, you will lead a team of 12 highly skilled and dedicated employees, including specialists and coordinators. This team is responsible for all quality activities related to product manufacturing in Avedøre, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards while securing the appropriate level of quality for each product. The plant produces a diverse range of microbe products across various business areas, including microbes for cheese and yogurt, as well as probiotics for humans and infants. This diversity creates a unique and complex quality landscape, as we navigate a wide array of guidelines that vary from food to infant care and pharmaceuticals.

The team is responsible for:

  • Release products for dietary supplements, infant nutrition, and QP release of pharmaceutical products.
  • Release batches for food (dietary ingredients). 
  • Review batch documentation and compile documentation to support product release.
  • Lead HACCP responsibilities. 
  • Utilize electronic systems, including SAP and LIMS. 
  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs. 
  • Handle and support deviations and investigations. 
  • Plan, execute, and participate in audits from customers, authorities, and certifying bodies. 
  • Plan and perform internal audits. 
  • Support stakeholders, including QC, Production, Logistics, and Supply. 
  • Stay current with GMP and relevant regulatory requirements. 
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and release processes.

 

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

Managing the Quality Team in Avedøre and ensuring a highly motivated, engaged, and competent team that delivers timely quality releases and recognized quality support to stakeholder departments.

Further you have focus on:

  • Defining an adequate and differentiated level of quality to ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation while fulfilling authorities' and customer requirements.
  • Aligning and documenting business procedures and instructions in compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Follow up and secure timely responses for quality-related tasks.
  • Ensuring alignment on prioritizations, goals, and KPIs within the team.
  • Driving a culture of respect, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring transparency in prioritizations with relevant internal stakeholders.

 

To succeed you must hold:-      

  • A qualified academic degree, ideally a master’s degree in pharmacy, engineering, or food science and technology.

  • + 5 years of experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry, with at least two years in a managerial role focused on quality.

  • Strong people manager skills and are driven by people development and continuous improvement. 

  • A quality mindset and knowledge of national and international regulatory requirements, including Eudralex Vol. IV, HACCP, FSSC 22000, 21 CFR part 111, and ISO 22000. 

  • Understanding of the quality and food safety processes, including release processes, batch documentation, QP, and HACCP requirements. 

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills.

  • Fluency in English and Danish at business-level proficiency.
