Welcome to our LATAM Technical Services team for Bioenergy

You will become part of our Bioenergy Technical Services team, collaborating closely with our colleagues in Sales & Marketing to provide world-class technical support and innovative solutions to our customers in Bioenergy space.

We are looking for a highly motivated Industry Technology Specialist (ITS) – focused on laboratory services to be a key part of the Bioenergy team. In this role, you will help grow our LATAM business in the Bioenergy Industry by developing multi-layer sales relationships with accounts. For an ambitious individual looking to further their career in Bioenergy, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-energy company with a positive can-do attitude that makes it possible to get great things done. 

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

Collaborating directly with Novonesis customers in implementing and troubleshooting analytical methodologies, providing HPLC support, offering laboratory training and other lab related activities in the corn-ethanol production. Working alongside ITS colleagues and Account Managers, you will play a pivotal role in comprehending customers’ laboratory needs and processes to deliver world class technical services and exchange industry insights. This role offers the chance to enhance your expertise in novel technologies and expand your industry network while making a meaningful impact on the organization and those around you with your valuable insights.

To succeed you must hold:

• Scientific skills based on a university degree in Chemistry, Chemical / Biotech / Bioprocess Engineering or related

• Proficiency in instrumentation, including method development, data analysis and troubleshooting in chromatographic methods such as HPLC, GC and IC

• Relevant knowledge in other laboratory equipment used for process quality control (spectrophotometer, NIR, colorimeters, compositional analysis, etc)

• Relevant knowledge of fermentation processes

• Experience within enzyme and yeast applications in Bioenergy would be a plus.

• Relevant knowledge in other laboratory equipment used for process quality control (spectrophotometer, NIR, colorimeters, compositional analysis, etc)

• Ability to translate technical insights and data into customer-relatable values

• Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and internal stakeholders

• Willingness to work supporting customers

• A flair for providing technical training – internally as well as externally

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Fluency in written and spoken Portuguese and English, Spanish would be a plus

• Ability to travel extensively, mainly within Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay (up to 60% of time).

This job will be located in Araucária city, PR – Brazil.
