Job Description

Packaging Specialist | Now Hiring | City of Industry, CA 

Compensation

• Competitive pay range of $19.21 - 22.17/hour - paid weekly 
• Pay: Competitive starting pay rate based on experience and qualifications
• Increases: Eligible for annual wage increases
• Bonuses: Eligible for monthly bonuses based on plant productivity

Available Shifts 

1st Shift 

• 6 am - 2:30 pm
• Monday-Friday
• 8-hours

3rd shift

• 10 PM-06:30 AM
• Monday-Friday
• 8-hours

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for handling and packaging products and monitoring the quality of product
• Manufacturing/production/warehouse experience desired 
• Previous packaging experience 
• Previous experience working on a production floor 

Qualifications

• EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Grade 10 or equivalent education; up to and including 3 months of related training or experience
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract 4-digit numbers
• MECHANICAL SKILLS: Basic knowledge of machinery or process required. May be required to stop the machine, shut off glue lines, and clear jammed cartons
• COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must be able to read, write & understand basic English. Able to communicate effectively, positively interact with coworkers and management, and deal effectively & professionally under pressure
• REASONING ABILITY: The Job requires the use of established guidelines that are well defined or detailed with little or no choice of action. Must make decisions regarding product quality and acceptability
