The Artificial Lift Optimization Engineer supports the design, analysis, and performance improvement of artificial lift systems used in oil and gas production. This role involves monitoring well performance, interpreting production data, and applying engineering principles to enhance lift efficiency and equipment reliability. The engineer will assist senior staff in implementing optimization strategies, troubleshooting lift issues, and developing data-driven solutions to maximize production while minimizing downtime. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn various artificial lift technologies such as ESPs, gas lift, rod lift, progressing cavity pumps and plunger lift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Analyze real-time data and provide optimization suggestions to increase system run life and increase production
•    Coordinate Engineering design support efforts for new tools/products.
•    Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
•    Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
•    Support sales team with technical expertise
•    Monitor and Optimize ESP systems for Sales staff
•    Collaborate with applications team.

REQUIREMENTS:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Production Engineering or similar Discipline or Technical Degree
•    3-7 years’ experience in the Oil Industry, specifically in Production and Artificial Lift preferred
•    Knowledge of Artificial Lift products, Production processes and operations
•    Excellent knowledge of production planning, quality control, and costing principals
•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; using the computer for extended periods of time.
•    Excellent Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office and SCADA systems
•    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work effectively alone, or within a group
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•    Strong Communication skills
•    Understanding of oil and gas production and Artificial Lift Systems 
•    Basic understanding of Oilfield Practices and Equipment 
•    Understanding of Trend Analysis
•    Working knowledge of wellbore construction, Nodal Analysis, and Decline curve analysis
