Job Summary:

As Drilling Solution Engineer within NOV’s you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in drilling operations. You will work closely with clients, drilling engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful execution of drilling projects. Your role will involve analyzing and optimizing drilling solutions to maximize operational efficiency and safety.

You will be responsible also to focus on complex drilling projects and technical leadership. You will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and contributing to the development of innovative drilling solutions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Collaborate with clients to understand their drilling objectives and develop appropriate drilling solutions. 
• Conduct engineering analysis to optimize drilling parameters, such as weight on bit, drilling fluid properties, and drill string configurations. 
• Monitor drilling operations in real-time and provide technical support to drilling teams on the rig. 
• Perform post-well analysis to evaluate drilling performance and identify areas for improvement. 
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drilling reports, procedures, and best practices. 
• Collaborate closely with clients, drilling supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams to assess drilling objectives, provide technical expertise, and develop comprehensive drilling plans and strategies. 
• Utilize advanced drilling software applications and data analytics to optimize drilling parameters, minimize risk, and maximize operational efficiency. 
• Monitor real-time drilling operations, analyzing data and performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and make necessary adjustments to enhance drilling performance.  
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in drilling operations, incorporating relevant advancements into project planning and execution. 
• Prepare and deliver high-quality technical reports, presentations, and documentation to clients, management, and industry conferences, showcasing innovative drilling solutions and successful project outcomes. 
• RTOC Drilling Support, RTOC reporting, KPI Reporting.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills, training, or special knowledge: 

• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 
• Strong knowledge of drilling fundamentals, including drilling techniques, drilling fluids, wellbore stability, and drilling equipment.
• 2+ years of experience in Drilling or a related role in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with drilling optimization, including the selection of drilling parameters and drilling fluid properties. 
• Familiarity with drilling software applications for hydraulics analysis and torque and drag modelling (Preferred).
• Proficiency in utilizing and customizing advanced drilling software applications, such as real-time monitoring systems, drilling optimization algorithms, and data analytics platforms (Preferred).
