We continue to revolutionise the care sector and our incredible employees are what make this possible.</p><hr><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>The Operational Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Nourish’s operational integrity and ensuring the business consistently meets, and anticipates its regulatory, legal, and internal obligations. As a custodian of compliance and risk, this role shapes a culture of operational excellence, proactive risk management, and continuous improvement across the organisation.</p><p>You will provide oversight of compliance operations, lead core governance processes, and serve as a critical advisor to senior leadership on emerging risks, regulatory developments, and organisational readiness. Through strong cross-functional influence, you will elevate standards, embed accountability, and strengthen Nourish’s compliance resilience as the business scales.</p><hr><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Compliance Leadership</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead and contribute to the design, evolution, and stewardship of the company-wide compliance framework.</p></li><li><p>Ensure Nourish maintains full accountability for all operational compliance obligations, proactively identifying gaps and driving timely remediation.</p></li><li><p>Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies, controls, and assurance mechanisms that underpin a high performing compliance environment.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Risk Management &amp; Governance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Hold ownership for all organisational risk assessments, both individual and enterprise-wide, ensuring risks are systematically identified, documented, assessed, mitigated, and reviewed with relevant stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Strengthen the company’s risk governance framework by leading the tracking of risks, mitigation actions, escalation pathways, and reporting cycles.</p></li><li><p>Provide insightful risk analysis and challenge to senior leaders, enabling well informed, risk based decision making.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Regulatory Intelligence &amp; Policy Ownership</strong></p><ul><li><p>Monitor regulatory and industry changes, assessing business impact and leading operational adoption of new or updated policies across a scaling environment.</p></li><li><p>Own, review, and enhance a full suite of compliance and Health &amp; Safety (H&amp;S) policies, ensuring standards are current, robust, and embedded in everyday operations.</p></li><li><p>Oversee incident reporting frameworks, ensuring thorough investigation, documentation, and follow-through on corrective and preventative actions.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Operational Health &amp; Safety Leadership</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead the Health &amp; Safety function across all Nourish sites, ensuring each location maintains a safe, compliant, and audit-ready environment.</p></li><li><p>Develop and deliver comprehensive compliance and H&amp;S training programmes, fostering capability, awareness, and behavioural excellence across the organisation.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Assurance, Audit &amp; Accreditation Management</strong></p><ul><li><p>Oversee internal and external compliance audits, ensuring evidence, documentation, and operational processes are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.</p></li><li><p>Manage and maintain key external accreditations, including those related to H&amp;S and ESG, providing leadership on evidence gathering, standards alignment, and continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Lead compliance checks for new products, ensuring they meet all relevant standards, certifications, and market access requirements.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Supplier Governance &amp; Insurance Support</strong></p><ul><li><p>Own and maintain supplier compliance records and documentation, ensuring third party due diligence and ongoing compliance standards are upheld.</p></li><li><p>Support the company’s insurance renewal processes by providing accurate compliance and risk information to internal and external stakeholders.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Executive Reporting &amp; Stakeholder Engagement</strong></p><ul><li><p>Prepare clear, insightful compliance reporting and dashboards for senior leadership and governance forums.</p></li><li><p>Act as a trusted advisor to teams across the business, providing strategic guidance, clarity, and practical interpretation of compliance requirements.</p></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Required Experience &amp; Capabilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Significant experience in an operational or compliance role with deep understanding of regulatory environments.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to support or lead an end-to-end compliance function, including risk management, policy governance, and assurance activities.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience supporting or managing complex audit processes and regulatory interactions.</p></li><li><p>NEBOSH Certification or equivalent experience, with strong working knowledge of Health &amp; Safety frameworks.</p></li><li><p>Advanced analytical, organisational, and problem solving skills with the ability to translate insight into actionable recommendations.</p></li><li><p>Highly self-directed, with the ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and influence outcomes at pace.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills, capable of engaging confidently with leadership, operational teams, and external stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>High levels of professional integrity, attention to detail, and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.</p></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Nourish Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li><p>25 days basic annual leave, plus Bank Holidays</p></li><li><p>In addition, we offer incremental leave benefit of 1 extra day for each completed year of service, up to a maximum of 5 additional days.
