We continue to revolutionise the care sector and our incredible employees are what make this possible.</span></p><p><span>We are looking for a Mobile Developer who is interested in building performant cross-platform (iOS and Android) mobile apps using React Native with TypeScript.</span></p><p><span><strong>About the Job</strong></span></p><p><span>You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a passion for mobile development, and the ability to drive projects in a highly collaborative environment.</span></p><p><span><strong>The role and your responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Work as part of a small team of developers to build and maintain our React Native apps, implementing clean, scalable and maintainable code.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop and implement responsive user interfaces using React Native.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Integrate third-party APIs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with Product Owners to understand end-user requirements and formulate specifications. Contribute to ticket estimation and scoping ceremonies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain and extend unit and integration test suites written with Jest.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Perform code reviews, enhance documentation and follow industry best practices, especially with regards to testing and secure programming principles.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Stay abreast of the latest developments in mobile technologies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Fully uphold the company’s Information Security Policy, and treat customer data with the greatest care and respect. Flag any and all security concerns immediately.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Follow Nourish’s development processes. Use modern tools including Git, JIRA, Microsoft Teams, etc.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Complete two-week sprints and participate in sprint ceremonies and daily standups.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide application support where necessary, working closely with Quality Assurance and the Support team to diagnose and fix issues in production.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>Required experience</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>At least four years’ relevant commercial work experience.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Expertise in React Native and TypeScript.&nbsp;</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to write well-documented, clean TypeScript code.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience working with third-party dependencies, Yarn, npm, etc.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Understanding of REST APIs and offline-first, caching.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with native build tools, including XCode, Gradle, Android Studio.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Solid understanding of iOS and Android platforms.&nbsp;</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proficiency in code versioning tolls such as Git.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to take ownership over your work.&nbsp;</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of functional or object-oriented programming concept</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">s.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>Desirable:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Relevant Computer Science or Engineering degree, or evidence of relevant professional training courses.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
