This role is to be a specialist in the areas of Product Safety and Housing laws that are applicable to Trading Standards.

About the Role

To lead in the team's specialist areas, to supervise and direct a team of officers, and deputise for the Team Manager

About You

To apply for this post, you must have:

• Specialist knowledge of the legislative framework relating to Product Safety and Housing law
• Extensive specialist knowledge of the protocols to be followed to ensure the process of investigation and/or research is undertaken lawfully and ethically
• Significant experience in supervision, training and mentoring staff
• Experience of analysing data and reporting findings.
• Substantial evidence of continuous professional development to a specialist level in law enforcement, legal process and regulatory compliance.

 You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
