About the Role

The role is ideal for candidates with strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to reconcile accounts accurately, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

  • Account Reconciliation: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of care accounts to produce reliable final account balances.
  • Ownership of Queries: Take full responsibility for investigating and resolving queries from both internal business areas and external customers, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth financial operations and support cross-functional initiatives.

 

About You

To apply for this post, you must be able:

  • To retrieve, analyse and provide accurate and relevant information to enable the resolution of issues, cases and complaints in a timely, sensitive and effective manner.
  • To telephone service users / personal representatives / deputy and/or customers, and / or issue guidance, letters and/or emails to resolve any queries received.
  • To undertake reconciliations of finance information from various sources, investigate and take corrective action.
  • To record all actions undertaken and relevant information on the appropriate record, including service user finance case file.
  • To provide relevant information as directed by their manager for the preparation of performance reports.
  • To ensure that financial regulations are appropriately complied with, and the accuracy and integrity of the financial and line of business systems and general ledger is maintained and the appropriate reconciliations are undertaken accurately and within the required deadlines.
