Responsibilities

  • Ensure ACGME accreditation compliance for all residency and fellowship programs.
  • Serve as a liaison between the institution, faculty, residents, and external regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain financial oversight of GME programs, ensuring sustainability.
  • Lead strategic planning for medical education initiatives.
  • Monitor resident performance and faculty development.
  • Participate in Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area.
  • Qualifications

    Candidate Qualifications (Required)

    • MD/DO
    • GME leadership experience (Program Director and/or Associate Program Director Experience)
    • Strong strategic planning, financial analysis, and leadership skills
    • Experience in faculty development and program evaluation
    • Extensive experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME) administration
    • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills in a medical education setting
    • Ability to manage high-level institutional oversight and governance
    • Board Certified in Internal Medicine 
    • Academic and/or Community Hospital Background

    Candidate Qualifications (Preferred)

    • Prior experience as a DIO or GME Administrator
    • Familiarity with electronic residency management systems
    • Active participation in national medical education organizations
    • Masters in Education (and/or any Masters Degree)

    8 a - 5 p
