Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal or Sr Principal Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL. Prepare and coordinate mission assurance plans and schedules for new or existing programs. Develop, monitor, and review cost, operational budget and schedule, and staffing requirements. Support and participate in earned value management, proposals, basis of estimate, estimate at complete. Analyze project needs and effects on various mission assurance areas such as quality engineering, quality inspection and quality support to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to resource. Integrate and resolve proposal preparation constraints through assessment of established plans and parameters. Formulate and recommend corrective measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

You will ensure proposal planning, development, review and implementation is completed on time utilizing discreet planning efforts whenever possible to maximize mission assurance resource planning. Collaborate with Mission Assurance Program Managers (MAPM), Mission Assurance Program Directors (MAPD), Functional Home Room Managers (FHRM), Mission Assurance Team Leads to ensure basis of estimates (BOEs) are accurate and factual to guarantee mission assurance requirements can be met at proposal execution. Interface with supported program business and Integrated Process Team (IPT) counterparts to ensure execution to program earned value management (EVM) processes. Review cost account manager (CAM) information with program and mission assurance leadership for compliance to EVM and integrated master schedule (IMS) plans. Initiate and maintain various tracking tools to provide MAPMs, MAPDs and above the cost accounting and scheduling oversight necessary to execute on various programmatic demands that require senior leader attention. Support outside assigned program(s) when surge support is required to meet proposal and BOE requests with short timelines for delivery. Execution of these tasks will require attention to detail and solid organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks while working closely with the MA and IPT teams. Strong computer skills and business acumen are necessary along with a robust level of understanding in Microsoft Office Suite products.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Quality Analyst:

  • Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience.

  • Demonstratable experience in presenting to various levels of program leadership.

  • Proficiency in technical problem solving, including root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring.

  • Proven effective planning, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders to include excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience and training in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles and application, or similar knowledge, or as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)

  • Experience preparing and delivering briefings to Internal Team, Customer and Integrated Process Team (IPT) Leadership

  • In depth experience with Microsoft tools (Project, Excel, Office and PowerPoint)

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Sr. Principal Quality Analyst:

  • Please note that this opportunity is contingent on program funding.  Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.

  • Proven effective planning, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders to include excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience and training in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles and application, or similar knowledge, or as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)

  • Experience preparing and delivering briefings to Internal Team, Customer and Integrated Process Team (IPT) Leadership

  • In depth experience with Microsoft tools (Project, Excel, Office and PowerPoint)

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) on a DoD earned value management-based program

  • Current Northrop Grumman EVMS certification.

  • Experience writing BOEs, working on DoD based proposals, and compiling programmatic / technical solutions.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
