Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Facilities Administrator 3 for our Elkton, Maryland location.

 

The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers.  The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY, Palm Beach Gardens, FL and San Jose, CA.

As an Administrative Specialist supporting the facilities team, I coordinate all office‑related functions, from ordering supplies and maintaining operational equipment to managing ChargePoint, vehicle, and equipment‑rental requests. I handle full procurement cycling-entering requisitions, processing invoices, and monitoring purchase orders—to ensure timely and accurate acquisition of goods and services. Leveraging the work‑order system, I assist in planning and executing facilities activities, collaborating with departmental managers and staff to align resources and schedules. I also provide support for MySecurity administration, facilitate contractor site‑access procedures, and contribute to the oversight of the operational budget, helping to track expenditures and identify cost‑saving opportunities

Core Responsibilities:

Administrative & Office Support

  • Provide general office support: order supplies, ensure equipment functionality, and manage office‑equipment requests.

  • Manage ChargePoint, vehicle, and equipment‑rental requests

  • Answer phones, screen calls, forward messages, and handle 2‑way radio/emergency dispatches.

  • Assist with MySecurity and other departmental coordination tasks.

Financial, Procurement & Documentation

  • Pro-card administration – order, process, record, and submit monthly purchases for multiple cost centers.

  • Manage requisitions: create, update, and track requisition logs, purchase orders, and quotes.

  • Monitor and assist with the operational budget.

  • Process overhead and capital invoices; ensure capital‑budget targets are met each month.

  • Generate and maintain capital‑meeting minutes.

  • Create online shippers when needed.

  • Resolve invoicing and vendor‑related issues, coordinating with Accounting when needed.

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Arrange, maintain, and support department schedules and associated activities.

  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings as required.

  • Aid planning and coordination of facilities activities with departmental managers and employees.

  • Interface with contractors and provide site‑access support.

  • Engage with the work‑order system for facility requests.

Travel & Expense Management

  • Prepare travel arrangements and process expense reports using Concur.

  • Maintain travel‑related documentation and submit required reports

Facility & Operations Management

  • Provide administrative support to Production, Manufacturing, Plant Engineering, and other facility areas.

  • Generate Plant Engineering work orders for users without system access.

  • Manage and verify vendor blanket orders as required on a weekly basis.

  • Maintain fuel inventories (diesel heating, off‑road diesel, generators, gas) with daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma plus at least 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.

  • Fluency in MS office and general software knowledge

  • Familiarity with maintenance and work order systems

  • Solve problems independently and take ownership of issue resolution.

  • Must be a US citizen

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
