Controller - Atlanta

Position Overview:

We’re helping a fast-growing company in Atlanta hire a Controller to bring discipline, structure, and strategic financial insight to its accounting function. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a high-impact role where you’ll implement processes and provide financial leadership across operations, growth planning, and deal evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the month-end close process and preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Conduct variance analysis and deliver actionable financial insights
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and cash flow forecasting
• Perform tenant credit and deal analysis for future contracts and partnerships
• Lead contract reviews and assess financing opportunities
• Transition the current bookkeeping-heavy setup into a robust finance department
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and bankers as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• 6+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a small to midsize business
• Deep experience with QuickBooks and transitioning to more scalable financial systems
• Proven ability to build out reporting and planning functions from the ground up
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with ownership and investors
