Pay Range: $62,354.00- $86,667.00

SUMMARY

The Talent Specialist plays a key role in supporting the company’s talent acquisition and development efforts across all store locations. Reporting to the Talent Manager, partnering with NSS Talent Acquisition team, this position focuses on sourcing, recruiting, and identifying top talent, as well as assisting with employee training and development programs. Talent Specialists work closely with store leadership and HR teams to ensure the company attracts, retains, and develops high-quality employees.

 

This position supports Zones 5 and 6 which covers Massachusetts, Connecticut, Chatham, NY, Southern Vermont, and Central New Hampshire. Must reside or be able to relocate to Zone 5 or 6. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
•    Assist in executing recruitment strategies to fill open store-based positions.
•    Source candidates through job postings, indeed, social media, and other recruitment channels.
•    Ensure store staffing clerks are in place and trained to meet the store’s part time staffing needs.
•    Assist in monitoring the Onboarding process to ensure new hires are receiving the proper new hire experience.  
•    Screen applicants, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview processes with hiring managers.
•    Attend job fairs, hiring events, and external recruitment initiatives to represent the company and attract candidates.
•    Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings.

Training & Employee Development
•    Assist in coordinating training programs for new hires and high-potential employees.
•    Work with HR to schedule workshops, one off trainings, and leadership development initiatives.
•    Support onboarding programs to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
Talent Identification & Development
•    Partner with Store Managers and Team Leaders to identify high-potential employees for development opportunities.
•    Support career pathing initiatives by helping employees explore internal mobility options.
•    Track and maintain data on internal promotions and talent development outcomes.
HR Coordination & Reporting
•    Maintain accurate records of hiring, training, and talent development activities.
•    Provide reports and updates on recruitment metrics, hiring trends, and employee progress.
•    Support HR leadership with special projects related to talent acquisition and development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in HRIS, ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of experience in recruitment, talent development, or human resources.

Experience in retail or grocery industry hiring is a plus.
