Pay Range: $16.25- $23.50
SUMMARY
Pharmacy Technician assists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. They also manage customer data, provide medication counseling, support pharmacy operations, and contribute to achieving financial and operational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
- Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, all supervised by the Pharmacist.
- Follow directions from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager.
- Enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy.
- Counsel’s patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
- Fulfill general housekeeping duties.
- Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.
- Maintain security of all controlled substances
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
- Possess basic computer skills
- Possess strong communication skills
