Pay starts at 01 - $20.00. Pay is based on experience.
Supports accurate, efficient, and safe packaging of ready-to-eat (RTE) products in the commissary. Ensures finished food items are properly portioned, sealed, labeled, and prepared for distribution while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and sanitation.
· Pack RTE items according to batch specifications, packaging requirements, and customer expectations.
· Operate basic packaging equipment (e.g., sealers, labelers, portioners) in accordance with safety and food handling protocols.
· Verify product weights, portion sizes, labeling, and packaging integrity.
· Assemble packaging components and ensure availability at workstations.
· Assist with final boxing, palletizing, and staging of finished goods for shipment.
· Maintain clean and organized packaging stations and adhere to sanitation and allergen control procedures.
· Complete packaging logs, lot tracking forms, and cleaning checklists as required.
· Communicate product discrepancies, equipment issues, or production delays to supervisors promptly.
· Support prep and ingredient staging as needed.
· Follow all GMPs, PPE requirements, and food safety protocols at all times.
· Report any food safety, quality, or GMP concerns to Supervisors or FSQA immediately.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· No prior experience required; commissary or food production experience is a plus.
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete basic documentation.
· Willingness to work in cold, wet, or variable temperature environments.
· Dependable attendance and positive team attitude required.
