This position is designed to manage incoming calls, requests for PST visits, day of surgery work-ups and phone interviews and complete a scheduled appointment. The employee screens all calls provided by a physician office or other resource unit collecting the clinical information required to schedule the appropriate type and time of appointment. This position is critical for all customer needs and future interaction between patients, physician offices and resources within the corporation. The employee will also collect and enter required statistics for monitoring and data collection.
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience: CRT experience.

Preferred Educational Requirements: Medical Terminology.
Preferred Experience: Some medical office experience.

Medical Terminology knowledge
Screens all calls and accurately schedules PST appointments.
Collects patient medical history and scheduled procedural information and records accurately.
Obtains pertinent medical records for pre-operative charts. Sources may include physician offices, HIM, computerized documentation systems, diagnostic testing centers, etc.
Assists with preparation of PST charts for nursing staff.
Compiles statistics daily, weekly and monthly.
Functions as a superuser for FaxCert system.
Identifies, labels, and indexes all data received through FaxCert system.
Participates in training and orientation of new employees.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
