The Imaging Services Patient Liaison/front desk reception is responsible for greeting patients arriving in the department, and accurately entering basic demographic information into the Radiology Information System.

Preferred Experience: Customer Service, Secretarial, or business office experience desirable.

Demonstrates proficiency in typing and basic computer skills
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform all areas of Image Records Department,
Knowledgeable of Federal Legislation regarding patient privacy rights
Proactively assesses needs of patients and sections prior to patient arrival.
Reviews clinic and provider schedules in advance, and schedules same-day x-ray add-ons in PHS.
Expedites flow of patients through clinic appointments.
Provides a visible and specific channel through which patients can seek solutions to problems, concerns, and unmet needs.
Provides daily feedback to the section practices regarding patient flow and satisfaction.
Serves as a neutral facilitator in gathering the patient’s perspective and the healthcare provider/employee’s perspective.
Performs a wide range of complex clerical duties necessary to support the efficiency of Diagnostic Imaging.
Performs other secretarial duties which include, but are not limited to, RIS functions of Order Entry and Image Management, filing, communication with staff, patients and patient families by phone and in-person, and answering and screening incoming calls.
Scans prior mammography films into R2 Digitizer.
Contributes to the overall efficiency of the Imaging Service.
