About this role

As a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care. You will support clinicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Take vitals and document findings in the patient chart
  • Review annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patients
  • Administer immunizations
  • Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone calls
  • Enter orders for laboratory services

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Current CPR certification - must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) or current LPN (WI License required).
  • Clear and helpful communications skills, teamwork and positive interpersonal relationships skills  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year medical assistant or LPN experience in a clinic preferred; Excellent verbal and written skills, tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients/families/clinic staff members
  • An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions+
  • Understanding of patient education needs able to effectively shared information with patients, family members and clinic staff as needed
  • Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Experience with EPIC preferred
