Our projects team is looking for a full-time Project Manager who is driven to successfully deliver project through its various phases in accordance with approved timelines, budget, scope, safety, and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment on project objectives and client expectations
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams to successfully execute engineering, procurement, and construction projects
- Ensure strong change management and project controls, including tracking project progress and cost, reporting on key performance indicators, and managing project financials.
- Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring proper resource allocation
- Manage project risks by identifying potential issues early, developing mitigation strategies, and proactively addressing challenges
- Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and managing changes effectively.
- Facilitate effective communication among internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Conduct regular project meetings, including kick-offs, progress updates, risk reviews, and design reviews
- Support business development initiatives by assisting with project proposals, estimates, and presentations.
- Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10+ years experience in rail infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in track management or construction
- Knowledge of track design standards (AREMA, Transport Canada, CN, CPKC, etc.)
- Experience on LRT or major transit infrastructure projects
- Experience on mainline and/ or Class 1 rail projects
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Rail Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience in industrial construction and management experience is considered an asset
- Outstanding written, time management, and oral communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams
- Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) status with APEGA is considered an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset
