The new UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital that opened in August 2019 is a 98-bed hospital with all private patient rooms. This modern facility features acute and emergency medical care, cardiology and vascular services, robotics and surgical services, and much more. Responsibilities
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
Current license as a registered professional nurse
Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

What you'll do
- The CRNA will perform pre-anesthesia assessments, discuss anesthetic options with patients, and manage the induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. They will also monitor patients' physiological conditions and perform clinical interventions as needed.
