Pocono Medical Center is a 217 bed voluntary nonprofit, short term acute care hospital and is part of the Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Case Assignments
Cases include, but are not limited to, endo, general surgery and ortho.
The practice model at this location is a care team model.

Schedules Include:
Various shifts available.
In house call every 6th night, beeper call every 14th night.

Responsibilities

Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

Current license as a registered professional nurse
Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
