We are seeking a proactive and skilled Front-End Engineer to join our Cards team, focusing on building and enhancing the Cashback Credit Card product. As a key member of our agile, sprint-based engineering team, you will help shape the customer journey and enable innovative, scalable solutions. You’ll work closely with a team of six professionals who have deep expertise in backend engineering and are looking to elevate the team’s front-end capabilities with your specialized knowledge.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

• Collaborating as part of an agile cross-functional team
• Take ownership of the front-end development lifecycle, using modern technologies and best practices to ensure robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
• Innovate and implement features using React, TypeScript, Micro Frontends (MFE), craco, chromatic, and storybook.
• Advocate for a design system and UI consistency, leveraging chromatic and storybook for component-driven development and visual testing.
• Mentor and support teammates, raising the bar for front-end excellence and code quality.
• Actively contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups, supporting the agile development process.
• Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, issues, or weaknesses in the front-end domain.

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

• Strong experience building production applications using React and TypeScript
• Hands-on knowledge of Micro Frontends (MFE) architectures and as an advantage – experience working with craco for custom React configurations
• Interest or familiarity with chromatic and storybook for UI component development and visual regression testing
• Solid programming fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, software design patterns)
• Comfortable mentoring peers and championing front-end best practices, including testing practices, and high code quality
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a willingness to learn new front-end technologies and approaches
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern testing methodologies (BDD, TDD) as applied to front-end development
