- Screens patient and obtains pertinent information.
- Assists physician or advanced practitioner during patient visit in accordance with age specific needs.
- Assists the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed.
- Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
- Provides support to the clinic as needed.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.
Experience
Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.
CMA or RMA preferred.

- The Medical Assistant screens patients, obtains pertinent information, and assists the physician or advanced practitioner during patient visits. They also maintain the exam rooms and provide support to the clinic as needed.
