Job Summary

Job Summary

  • Provides high quality customer service and develops relationships with customers.  Learns how to provide consistent drinks according to Starbucks recipes and standards. Learns how to prepare food products for serving.
  • Learns to receive and prepare food items for resale and that cases and shelves are properly stocked throughout the day with profitability and loss reduction in mind.  Follows Health Department guidelines.
  • Learns to maintain a clean work environment by using opening and closing procedure checklists.  Ensures Health Department guidelines and store cleaning policies are followed.
  • Learns to accurately charge for products.  Learns proper cash handling procedures and prepares precise and accurate deposits.  Learns how to troubleshoot and resolve computer or transaction issues.
  • Suggest innovative ways to reduce loss and waste and increase profitability.
  • Learns to troubleshoot issues that arise throughout the workday.  Communicate results with Supervisor as necessary.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. 

Experience

  • Six months in customer service setting required.  Six months as a barista preferred.

Licensure/Certification

  • Cleveland County Food Handlers Permit required.  Must be obtained before beginning work in the coffee shop.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to correctly count money and troubleshoot on the POS system.
