Summary of the role

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload components from or onto pallets, trays, racks, bins, and shelves.
  • Move material by hand, pallet jack, and/or powered industrial truck.
  • Control flow of material to ensure sufficient components, etc. are available to meet manufacturing and shipping schedules.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure movement of product is conducted efficiently to eliminate/reduce lost time.
  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of all product, both manual and electronic.
  • Reconciliation of production, scrap and/or inventory as required.
  • Ensure components and assemblies are supplied in a timely manner to CE Rooms prior to start of daily shift and at work order changeover.
  • Follow all written and oral instructions on required duties.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by department supervision.
  • Adhere to all Atrion policies including safety, attendance, and personal hygiene requirements per the Atrion Employee Handbook. 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including E-Mail, Word and Excel.
  • Math skills including the ability to apply common concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and write legibly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.  Computer skills preferred. One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Up to 2/3 of time is spent reading and interpreting written documentation, verbally communicating with other departmental personnel, using hands, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms.  Frequently required to lift from 10 to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment described here is representative of that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a general manufacturing environment interacting with others in the same work area. The noise level will be typically moderate.
