About this role
YOUR TASKS:
- Provide expert 3rd‑level support for SCADA/IIoT applications on Windows and Linux.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, data, and performance issues across field devices, controllers, and backend systems.
- Automate tasks and improve data quality using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Create documentation and help improve processes.
- Work closely with Operations, Product, and Development teams to roll out new applications and updates.
- Support and enhance legacy SCADA systems (WinCC, NC2) while contributing to modernization efforts.
YOUR PROFILE:
- IT/engineering background or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting and managing IT applications, ideally in industrial or IIoT environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows, plus scripting skills (PowerShell, SQL, Python, Bash, etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Proactive, structured, and quality‑driven working style.
- Strong communication skills and comfortable working in an international environment.
- Fluent English; German or Spanish is a plus.
- 2–3 years of experience in IT/SCADA/IIoT support roles.
- Ability to lead major incidents, prioritize under pressure, and understand customer/field needs.
- Experience with SCADA platforms (WinCC, NC2, Wonderware, Ignition, ABB, Schneider, etc.) and knowledge of OT/industrial automation environments is highly valued.
- Ability to turn operational issues into clear technical requirements and understanding of software lifecycle/change management.
