About this role

In this role, you contribute to the reliability and performance of wind turbine pitch and yaw systems. You work closely with engineering, quality, and suppliers to analyze bearing behavior and support robust mechanical design. The position is part of an international engineering environment with a strong focus on safety and technical accuracy.

 

YOUR TASKS

• Monitor and analyze the operational performance of pitch and yaw bearings in wind turbine applications
• Investigate reliability metrics and field data to identify risks and improvement potential in bearing systems
• Perform and develop root cause analyses for pitch and yaw bearing failures and deviations
• Support the mechanical design of pitch and yaw bearings, including DFMEA, technical specifications, and validations
• Contribute to supplier qualification and technical assessments for pitch and yaw bearing manufacturers
• Collaborate with quality, design, and service teams to ensure stable bearing performance across the product lifecycle

 

YOUR PROFILE

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable engineering discipline, or equivalent
• At least five years of professional experience in the wind turbine industry with a focus on pitch and yaw bearings
• Solid understanding of bearing design, reliability engineering, and mechanical analysis methods
• Knowledge of quality assurance and problem-solving methodologies is an advantage
• Experience working in international, cross-functional engineering teams with clear communication skills
• Fluent English required, with German and/or Spanish skills considered a plus
• Willingness to travel occasionally and able to manage technical topics in parallel with an analytical approach
