Would you like to join one of Europe's leading Asset Managers? We are looking to strengthen our Nordic, Finnish and Swedish Equities team with a Senior Equity Analyst who is ready to develop into a Portfolio Manager.

Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre of investment management in the Nordea Group and the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with around 900 employees and AUM of more than EUR 300bn.

About this opportunity

We manage our Nordic, Finnish and Swedish active equity funds with the aspiration to create attractive three-year rolling performance after fees. As a Senior Equity Analyst, you'll play a valuable role in supporting Portfolio Managers with investment ideas.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will perform in-depth research on companies listed in the Nordic region and support Portfolio Managers in making investment decisions.
• This requires both desktop work, such as financial modelling, and meetings with executive management teams and experts operating in various sectors across the globe.
• You will produce both oral and written research to communicate your views to the team and other stakeholders

You'll join one of the leading Nordic buy-side research teams filled with motivated people working closely together, aiming to deliver outperformance to our clients. The team of 12 investment professionals is located in Stockholm and Helsinki.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

• Have a deep interest in equities and believe it is possible to create excess returns through successful stock selection.
• Have a strong interest in fundamental equity research and understanding business models, with a framework for capturing the true value creation within a company.
• Have excellent communication skills in English, with enthusiasm for presenting your research, conclusions and knowledge to others.
• Enjoy working in a team, as our investment process is highly iterative between team members. We believe that the success of the team creates a multiplier effect on individual performance.

Your experience and background:  

• Have several years of previous work experience analysing Nordic or Swedish equities, either from the buy or sell side, and are prepared to take on a Portfolio Manager role.
• Have in-depth experience analysing companies and conducting financial modelling, such as DCF models and other valuation techniques.
• Are comfortable communicating your thinking around equity investments.
• Hold a higher education degree, for example in Finance.
