Would you like to work with the development of Nordea’s credit processes and solutions in Group Credit Management? We are now looking for a Recovery and Loss Data Expert in an exciting position combining regulatory and modelling aspects with credit processes and credit data. You will be working in a team responsible for the automated collection of recovery data for all types of customers and will be reporting to the head of Recovery and Loss Data.

 

About our team

 

Welcome to the Recovery and Loss Data team in Group Credit Management. We are the owner of the recovery and loss data solution for Nordea and drive the development projects in this area. We work closely with our stakeholders and development units in the business areas, regulatory and modelling teams, and our IT partners in this space

Main responsibilities in this role: 

  • Take responsibility for the interpretation of regulatory and modelling requirements on loss data and drive the implementation in development projects.
  • Actively drive the process to identify solutions on the automated collection of recovery data.
  • Use your business knowledge and analytical skills to deliver on objectives.
  • Be self-going and develop good relationships and alignment with your team members and stakeholders in Group Credit Management, Business Areas, Risk Models and with Technology.
  • Build up specific competence on processes and applications in the high risk customer area.

This is the right role for you if you: 

  • Have hands on experience from working with model development, or development projects preferably in the area of credit processes or credit data in banks.
  • Build up and maintain expertise of Nordea’s credit risk agenda; including the understanding of relevant accounting principles, regulatory requirements, systems and data flows.
  • Take on responsibility for the job, colleagues, and the value chain working as one team to make a difference.
  • Execute planned tasks in order to ensure that targets are met and be able to share experience from execution with colleagues.
  • Are flexible within your own role to support the achievements of team results.
  • Are self-going with own contribution in the value chain by acting with the customers in mind in all processes to create great customer experiences.
  • Create valid decision making proposals to superior, suggesting a solution to a new concrete issue by applying analytical and creative thinking.
  • Contribute actively to competence building within own team to support the further development of common skills in the team.

 

Your background and skills include: 

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a function where you gained:
    • Superior knowledge or experience of the development of LGD models including regulatory requirements in this area (e.g. EBA guidelines, EGIM and CRR).
    • Understanding of credit processes for household as well as corporate customers, especially high risk credit management (as debt collection or reconstruction).
    • Hands on experience in working with data and preferably coding skills as Python.
  • Experience in working with ECB as regulator.
  • Senior driver of business requirements and implementation of change.
  • Strong communication capacity: comfortable initiating and driving meetings with stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly learn and develop an understanding, interest and passion for banking and credits.
  • High level of energy and engagement with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines.
  • A natural “can do” attitude and a high level of curiosity to find solutions.
  • Fluency in English at professional level.
