SECONDARY BUSINESS STUDIES OR ECONOMICS TEACHER

NACIS Shanghai is looking to recruit a Business Studies or Economics Teacher, to drive excellent teaching and learning in the subject of Secondary Business Studies or Economics.

The role:

We seek a qualified International Teacher of Secondary Business Studies or Economics to join where your focus will be:

• To teach IBDP, A-level or IGCSE Business Studies or Economics.
• To demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and be flexible within the Humanities department to teach different aspects of the curriculum.
• To ensure that planning, preparation, teaching, recording, assessment and reports meet the needs of the students and expectations of the school.
• To promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s Secondary curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved.
• To foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.
• To actively contribute to wider school development and growth.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• Minimum of three to four years teaching experience in Secondary Business Studies or Economics
• Experience of IBDP or A-level teaching is a must.
• Understanding of effective teaching and learning theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children through classroom organization, differentiation and learning strategies.
• Holding an internationally recognized teaching license.
• A degree in Business or Economics related subject preferred.
• Team player and be flexible.

About you

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment as well as meet visa-related restrictions for China, including a bachelor degree, non-criminal background check and at least 24 months of teaching experiences.
