Are you passionate about defining technical vision and engineering standards for Generative AI solutions? Join our AI Center of Excellence at Nationale Nederlanden (NN), where we lead the development of reusable AI assets, collaborate across business units, and drive strategic innovation. As a Tech Lead in the Asset Reuse Team (ART), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, design and quality of AI components published in the NN AI asset marketplace.
What you are going to do
You will be responsible for setting the technical direction and ensuring engineering excellence across reusable AI assets. Your work will span from defining standards to guiding implementation, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. You will collaborate with product managers, (Gen)AI engineers, and business stakeholders to translate needs into robust AI components.
Key responsibilities include:
Define and maintain engineering standards for reusable Generative AI components
Lead technical design and architecture for the NN AI asset marketplace
Oversee build quality, code reviews, and technical documentation
Guide engineering teams in implementing scalable and secure AI solutions
Collaborate with asset squads and local data scientists to promote reuse and innovation
Support forward deployment engineers and cross-hopping engineers in local delivery teams

Salary between €5.765 and €8.236 based on 36 hours per week, depending on your knowledge and experience

Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with a strong background in software architecture, DevOps engineering and AI development. You thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy mentoring others. Your leadership and communication skills help you drive technical excellence and foster collaboration.
You bring the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles
Proven experience in defining and implementing engineering standards
Strong knowledge of Python, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (Azure), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with agentic frameworks and reusable AI components
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Who you will work with
You will be part of the Asset Reuse Team (ART) within the AI Center of Excellence, collaborating with Product Managers, Architects and (Gen)AI Engineers. You will also engage with business unit teams, guilds, and forward deployment engineers to ensure scalable deployment and continuous improvement of AI assets.
