NN Life & Pensions (L&P) is in transition to be a data driven organization. You know what data needs, and you bring the data strategy to life by implementing data processes, metadata management, data governance and data quality. To enable all colleagues within NN L&P to work data driven, information on data topics needs to be generally available. As a Data Management consultant you will be the linking pin between Business, IT from within the NN Life & Pensions Data Office.
What you are going to do
As part of the Data Office, which is part of the Data & AI team within CIO, you’ll be involved in projects where data management will be a crucial element of success while collaborating across multiple business lines within the Life & Pensions domain. The data office is responsible for setting up and maintaining the data strategy for NN L&P, managing data projects, doing continuous communication about data developments on SAM/Sharepoint, help the NN L&P organization to increase the data literacy and support on progressing on data quality.
Using your own initiative and ambition, you achieve excellent results, e.g.:
Setting up and monitoring data strategy, governance and data projects
Identifying, set up and monitor opportunities for data management and data quality improvements
Identifying, categorising, coordinating and monitor data quality issues
Developing and documenting requirements and business processes for successful implementations
Help setting up training and awareness about data-driven working within NN L&P
Contribute to updating data management policies & procedures to ensure alignment

Salary between €4.547 and € 6,496 (based on 40 hours), depending on your knowledge and experience

You are dedicated to ensuring changes in daily operations are carefully thought out, well-planned, and effectively implemented. You have a demonstrated ability to work across departments to achieve goals and objectives. You possess a passion for data management and an analytical mind that can help us develop and execute data management strategies that align with our organizations goals and objectives. Additionally, you possess:
At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role and a basic understanding of data management, data governance and/or data quality
Knowledge of data management best practices, DAMA-DMBOK and/or other data management frameworks
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) at different levels of the organization and
You know what data needs to be of good quality and to be used in a good and responsible way
A critical eye for improvements in the field of data management and the ability to implement them together with relevant stakeholders
A structured and logical approach to work
Who you will work with
You will be part of the Data & AI team within the CIO department. We are a growing team of specialists who share a passion for data and AI solutions, and there is plenty of room for personal growth and development. As the linking pin in the L&P Data Office you will be working closely together with stakeholders from both Business and IT on different levels. Part of the virtual Data Office team are the Chain Data Stewards and PO’s. Together you make sure all plans and daily work are executed according to the L&P Data Strategy and Data guidelines.
