We are a small and dynamic software development group at Nintendo. We develop networking software for Nintendo's game systems, do research and prototyping, and develop networking tools and solutions. We are looking for a software engineer with a passion for networking technologies who is experienced with production-level software development. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, debugging, and testing of network related software. The candidate should have strong C/C++ programming and communications skills.



DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES






  • Leads technical project team through requirements gathering, scoping, planning, tracking and reporting.

  • Develops project schedules and roadmaps and identifies critical path.

  • Drives project tasks, deliverables and milestones to achieve project goals.

  • Coordinates with project team members at Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL) and its subsidiaries.

  • Identifies risks to scope, schedule and budget and escalates appropriately.

  • Proactively analyzes and resolves moderately complex issues with team leaders; understands customer needs.

  • Guides effort to define project KPIs and generate accurate reports used for continuous improvement.

  • Owns project completion and close.

  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with the project team, sponsors, stakeholders and customers. 

  • Produces accurate, informative project reports for project stakeholders and management.

  • Effectively collaborates with multiple teams to achieve project goals.

  • Identifies opportunities to improve project management practices and processes. 







 


SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:


  • 2-4 years of related experience in project management.

  • Knowledgeable about IT (ITIL) and DevOps frameworks. 

  • Solid understanding of project management models and methodologies.

  • Experience with industry standard project management and development tools (ServiceNow and Atlassian products preferred).

  • Experience with software development and engineering practices.

  • Comprehension of IT and DevOps technologies, practices and processes is a plus.

  • Comprehension of embedded systems development is a plus.

  • Fluency in Japanese a plus. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or equivalent. 

  • Project Management / Agile Certification, or equivalent coursework or experience.

  • Valid passport may be required.  


This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time. 

 



This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Pay Range:
$41$66 USD
